About Our Church
What kind of church is Community Baptist?
We believe we have something special to offer to the people of Dunedin.
We would love to have you visit with us. We offer a friendly, family-oriented church where you will always receive a warm welcome.
Our desire is, by God’s grace, to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind and to demonstrate that love by obeying His Word.
Our ministry is centred in teaching and preaching the Word of God effectively and pointing men to God’s Truth, and thereby strengthening believers in their daily Christian life.
We practice our Lord’s command to preach the Gospel to every person, both locally in Dunedin and also abroad through our missions program, urging people to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him as their personal Saviour. Matthew 28:19–20

Since 1998
Pastor Bob Rutta has served in full-time ministry in New Zealand since 1988 — first planting a church in New Plymouth, then moving to Dunedin in 1998 to serve at Community Baptist Church.
