Know Christ

The One Thing That Matters Most

Not all roads lead to Heaven

Someone will say, “We are all just travelling different roads to the same place.” The problem with that statement is that all but one of the roads man travels leads to eternal damnation, not eternal bliss.

Jesus said there is only one way — through faith in Him

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 5:24

Although there are many sincerely-held beliefs about life and the hereafter, the Bible says: “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12

God loves you

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16

God wants you to have eternal life — and to know it

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that ye may know that ye have eternal life.”

1 John 5:13

You may have reached this page through a Baptist church website, but remember: the following is not simply a “Baptist” teaching — it is a Bible teaching.

You Must

Four things the Bible asks of you

  1. Admit to God that you are a sinner.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

    Romans 3:23

  2. Agree with God that there is a penalty for sin and that you owe it.

For the wages of sin is death…

    Romans 6:23

  3. Acknowledge the fact that Jesus paid sin's penalty for you.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    Romans 5:8

  4. Avail yourself of God's gift by receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.

…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    Romans 6:23

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

John 1:12

If you honestly, from a believing heart, want Jesus to be your Saviour — pray and ask Him

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know I am a sinner and I know that I cannot save myself. I believe that you died on the cross for my sin, that you were buried and that you rose again on the third day. I accept your payment for my sin and ask that you would forgive my sin and be my Saviour. Thank you for saving me and giving me eternal life and a future home in Heaven with you.

AMEN
